Elizabeth House is a lakefront house with ancient origins but completely renovated in 2015 by keeping the period style and enhancing the artistic and architectural features. The high quality of the furnishing puts into sharper focus on the luxury of the property, in addition to the carefully restored decorations of the exterior walls of the house.

Elizabeth house was the perfect place to spread out, relax, and explore at our individual paces as we recovered from jet lag. The apartment was clean, cool (they have a/c downstairs), and kitchen was well equipped. The location couldn’t be beat. We would spend our afternoons sitting on the balcony soaking in the sun and tourist buzz from the shops and restaurants below. All in all it was a perfect stay!

The amenities were great, fully stocked kitchen to prepare your own Italian dish and sip wine on the narrow balcony (all part of its charm ). Our only problem was. the hot water in the upstairs shower. We had two couples sharing one small shower downstairs. We notified the management and unfortunately it was not resolved during our stay. We stayed 4 nights. First we were told tomorrow, then the part was ordered and checking out said looking into. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again !! Thank you Elizabeth House. |

When I rented this house it listed that it came with air-conditioning. When I got to the house I was told that it no longer had air conditioning. Luckily it was not very hot during our stay. Instructions for some of the appliances were missing. Hsee more
When I rented this house it listed that it came with air-conditioning. When I got to the house I was told that it no longer had air conditioning. Luckily it was not very hot during our stay. Instructions for some of the appliances were missing. However, we were able to get these from Francesca.

Thanks for your review and for being our guests at Elizabeth House. Concerning A/C we need to point out that it's not been removed, we just clarified that this conditioninig system is not a standard one, but just an air forced recycling. see more

The unit is located in the harbor overlooking the water. It was magical sitting on the veranda having a glass of wine just taking it all in. The unit it self has been d, has a great kitchen and was clean and again the location can't be beat.

Please ensure things like the remote control to the AC has working batteries. It wasn't too hot so the fans were fine.

More toilet paper, some paper towels and tissues. It would be nice if you provided coffee supplies and a few bottles of water.
The coffee maker was a K cup type machine and there was no place close enough to buy them.

Our family cannot say enough about how beautiful this home is. The details are perfect. It’s a historic home lovingly and thoughtfully restored. We have never stayed in any place like it. All of the rooms were comfortable and charming. There was amplsee more
Our family cannot say enough about how beautiful this home is. The details are perfect. It’s a historic home lovingly and thoughtfully restored. We have never stayed in any place like it. All of the rooms were comfortable and charming. There was ample room for our party of four adults and two children. The kitchen is well appointed and our hosts provided coffee. Always a huge plus! It’s also perfectly located in Varenna. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Lake Como we will certainly stay again. Thank you for a memorable stay!
